Brett is very sick . he has chronic renal failure  and had been on dialysis for 2 and 1/2 years .  he has been suffering with intermittent vomiting and diarrhea for   8 months now  and his blood pressure is thru the roof . we sat for 8 hours waiting ,  he had a week in john hunter hospital in  may  , went in with a busting headache and high blood pressure and vomiting for 4 days straight .  they done tests , and  he came home OK .  end of July  vomiting for 4 days straight and high blood pressure the specialist and our GP  wanted him in john hunter again  , so we went down and when we got there they had give Brett’s bed away  not once but twice  so we said we are going home , they found a bed very quickly after us sitting for 5 hours waiting .  no Dr saw him and after being there for 2 days seeing no one only nurses  a Dr came in and said you can go home . we said no one has seen him yet they  done some test  and sent him home the next day .  i had to stop a few times on the way home for him to be sick .   then he is sick again  high blood pressure xrays show enlarged heart  can’t stop coughing and has a high temperature and vomiting again , our GP says get to john hunter . well we got there at 3.00pm yesterday we waited and we waited . they said he is being admitted  so at 10.00 i headed home all they had to do was take him to the ward , i was back in cessnock  and my mobile rang  come back and get Brett we are not admitting him .WHAT . so i turned around and went back . Brett is home we got home at 1.30am .  still vomiting ,coughing every second  high fever and high blood pressure .  no one has any answers or will help .  he has lost 20kg in 8 months . cant take his medication or eat as all he can do is vomit , but no one will help . 

 we are not very happy , and i am scared .  he is so sick .

brett’s health has been very rough lately , had a week in john hunter hospital ,  he has lots of complications at the moment  in his body due to the dialysis  and the kidney failure  . anemia very badly  and no iron now and blood pressure thru the roof .  

Saturday 2nd July Brett’s brother   mark  passed away  he was 49 years old .  very very sad .   so we need to go to port macquarie for the funeral not sure if it will be this week or next week , as there is an ortopsie   being done . mark has been very ill lately  . but passed away very quickly . 

the kids are good  , taking brodie to the doctors today  as he has a chest infection .

we are all  good . brett went back to the specilist  alls good  but now he needs to go on a low phosphate diet . i have been unwell the last couple of months and i have had diabetes for 12 months now but now also  i have celiacs .  so the 4 of us are on  low salt , low fat , low phosphate , gluten free diet .  wow . it makes life confusing at the moment .

but there is some one worse  of than us some where .   dialysis is changing as the disease progresses  , more medicaion  and new stuff to put in the lines while on the machine . 

have now been on dialysis for 2 years and just over 12 months on the waiting list for a kidney .   but he is coping  has his bad days .

hi everyone ,

i haven’t been here for a while .  life is busy .  brodie got his green cord at scouts and then he got the highest award a scout can get . his scout medallion.   this is getting presented to him 2nd april at the scout hall . then the 7th of may we go to goverment house and he is awarded a certificate from the govener general .  he is now in ventures .

carissa is  good she has gone to lone scouts , as tuesday nights she is busy and couldn’t make cessnock meetings .  she has been rough lately  she burnt her thigh badley .  but getting better . she sang at relay for life today with the cessnock schools choir .  great .

brett is well . work is busy and diyalsis is busy but going well .  

i am good . busy but good .

when i make friends i go all in .some friends are just that but others i feel are just as close as family , and i think of them as family . 

the owens , munks ,nealys are close close friends - the tregenzas & watsons are family .  i classed the horns as family, but there not happy with me so i think thats gone now.

well i guess thats life .   may be time will tell .

well ,  the kids are back at school . back to watching the clock .  i have to pick the kids up  for a few weeks , thought the bus will be a bit hard with crutches .  carissa had a good day the kids helped her .  she has been on crutshes for  2 weeks , 4 or 5 weeks to go .  back to scouts this week as well .  we  have our term 4 scout disco on friday night .  we had a wedding sunday it was a great day .  brodie done the music .

brodie has just about finnished all his  green stuff for scouts  , so he will get his green cord soon .  the 23rd of october he is haveing his  2nd attempt at his scout medallion project .   we need more  public thru .   if he can pull it of he will be the first to get the scout medallion for cessnock .  fingers crossed .

friends and family mean the world to me .  carissa has a girl friend  lily who i class as part of our family , she has had 2 nights with us this week , it is great to see them together .  and brodie has a mate  jordan that i class as part of the family . he is here this week aswell .   i love to see the kids happy . 

brodie is going on his green cord hike tomorrow  30 km ,from congewai to morisett .

hi  havent been on here for a while . have been really busy . we are all good .  brett is in sydney for the long weekend . he is going to the nrl grandfinal .  carissa is going good , she is still on crouches . her foot is still sore . brodie is down the paddock with 4 other scouts , they are camping  doing badge work  for brodies green cord partrol activity . then next week end he is doing his green cord hike 30 kms . i am good . busy .

the kids and i for the first week of the school holidays put in a new vegie garden . it looks great . we allready have some plants in . and waiting on seeds to come up now.

leah has been over for a night and carissa had a night at her house . lily is coming over next week .

life is good but busy , i am enjoying the holidays .    love to all  

i just want to share my thoughts of a wonderful , caring special family .

there are 2 parents , 7 kids .  i feel for them . i wish i could help or do something for them .  one of there daughters is part of my own family .they have lots of ups and downs .  the other night tiff was sad , i could feel this and felt for her . if i could have a wish for them i would wish for some  relief for them and they could have a  break .  they are a great family , and the hurdales that life has sent them have made them stronger .    i feel for tiff and ivy the most . ivy is such a lovely little girl  ,  all our love xxxxxxx  and if i can help please ask me .
